Step 3: Create a Meet

  1. Tap Games in the menu bar.
  2. Tap ➕ Add.
  3. Enter meet details:
    • Game Title (required, e.g., “Regional Dive Meet”).

  4. Tap Next to save and open the Dive Scoring screen.

👉 The home team must have at least one starter diver before you can create the meet.

Step 4: Set Up Dive Lists (Recommended)

Before scoring begins, configure each diver’s planned dives:

  1. From the Dive Scoring screen, tap the Dive List button at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Set the Board Height (1m, 3m, or Platform) for the meet using the dropdown in the header.
    • Changing board height automatically recalculates the Degree of Difficulty (DD) for all configured dives.
  3. Select a diver from the left sidebar.
  4. For each round (up to 6), choose a Dive Code from the searchable dropdown.
    • The dive name and DD auto-populate from the built-in dive catalog.
  5. Tap Save Dive List to save the diver’s dive list.
  6. Repeat for each diver.
  7. When finished, tap Start Scoring to return to the scoring screen.

👉 When a dive list is configured, the dive code and DD will auto-fill on the scoring screen and become read-only for that round. A warning appears if a diver has no dive list set up.

Step 5: Score Dives

On the Dive Scoring screen:

  1. Select a Diver – Tap a diver’s name in the left sidebar. Divers are grouped by team.
  2. Set the Round – Use the Round dropdown to select the current round (1–11).
  3. Enter Dive Details:
    • Dive Code – Type a code (e.g., 101B) or it auto-fills from the dive list. The dive description appears below.
    • DD (Degree of Difficulty) – Auto-populated from the dive catalog, or enter manually.
    • Judges – Select 3, 5, or 7 judges.
    • Failed – Check this box if the dive was failed (scores 0 points).
  4. Enter Judge Scores – Enter each judge’s score (0–10, in 0.5 increments). Judge inputs are disabled when a dive is marked Failed.
  5. Review the Score Preview – The calculated dive score appears in real time.
  6. Tap Save Dive to record the dive.

👉 The diver’s running total score updates automatically after each saved dive.

Step 6: Review the Meet

  • The Dive History (play-by-play) at the bottom lists every recorded dive with the diver name, team, round, dive code, DD, and score.
  • Failed dives are clearly marked in the history.
  • Each diver’s total score is displayed in the header when they are selected.
  • Tap ↩ Undo to reverse the most recent dive if a mistake was made.

Step 7: View Reports

  1. Tap Reports in the menu bar.
  2. Available reports:
    • Team List – All teams.
    • Team + Players – Team rosters with divers.
    • Team Score History – Meet scores over time.
    • Season Report – Season-long performance summary.
    • Highest Scoring Players – Top-scoring divers at a glance.

Step 8: Customize Settings

  1. Tap Settings in the menu bar.
  2. Adjust defaults:
    • Game Type – Set the default meet type.
    • Home Team – Set a default home team.
    • Jersey Color.
    • Date Picker Type.
  3. Switch to the Game Types tab to add or edit meet formats.
  4. Switch to the Seasons tab to manage seasons.

Scoring Rules

Diving Trak uses the standard diving scoring formula:

  • 3 Judges: Sum all 3 scores × DD.
  • 5 Judges: Drop the highest and lowest scores, sum the remaining 3 × DD.
  • 7 Judges: Drop the 2 highest and 2 lowest scores, sum the remaining 3 × DD.
  • Failed Dive: Always scores 0 regardless of judge scores.

Judge scores range from 0 to 10 in half-point increments (0, 0.5, 1.0, … 10.0).

Helpful Tips

  • Pre-Configure Dive Lists – Setting up dive lists before the meet saves time and prevents entry errors during scoring.
  • Board Height Matters – DD values change based on board height (1m, 3m, Platform). Set this once per meet on the Dive List Setup page.
  • Dive Catalog – The built-in catalog auto-populates dive names and DD when you enter or select a dive code.
  • Quick Corrections – Use Undo to reverse the last dive at any time.
  • Duplicate Protection – The app prevents recording two dives for the same diver in the same round.
  • Round Tracking – Use the Round selector to move through rounds. If a dive list exists, the code and DD lock in automatically.
